Dealing With The Lost
by S. White, from the Puritan Light, reprinted with permission
Dealing with the lost is complicated. They can be grouped
into two categories:
1. Those who believe in Elohim but live in sin and don’t
actually know Yashua. These people have good hearts and, even though they
do have addictions to sin, they really do care. You may need to serve
them a meal when they are weary from the world. You may need to help
them when things get difficult. However, it is essential to guard
your heart around them or you can be easily led into their ‘fun’ thereby
sinning against the Almighty. You must keep your distance here. Remember
that Solomon had wives who turned his heart away from Elohim! If
he, the wisest man on earth, can be fooled, how much more can the rest
of us?
or. . . . . . . . . .
2. Those who, in a literal sense, whether or not it
is obvious, worship Satan. These are people you must avoid. Stay
clear of them for they are without knowledge, without true wisdom and the
cruelest people on this earth. This is where Hitler came from. These
are the Taliban and Palestinian bombers who have no heart but one of blood-curdling
cruelty. Not only are they in other countries but the United States
of America is infested with them. They are teens, men and women. Their
cruelty knows no bounds or age. You must realize how truly dangerous
they are because they can con and act sweet, but their hearts are far from
Elohim. They only seek to torture, kill and take from you.
Here is a chilling thought - many of them say they are Christians or that
they ‘believe in God.’ Oh, how many they have fooled! You will know
them by their fruits. Learn to discern the difference between a true
believer and a counterfeit. Never get involved with them - Ever.
People often say we must be ‘salt and light.’ They get themselves tangled
up into inappropriate situations, foolishly thinking they can help ‘save’
these lost souls. Did you know that devout Jews don’t believe in
evangelism? They live their lives, obey Torah, keep Shabbat and are
the light of the world by their actions. They do not try to convince
others of their ways! The Holy Spirit does this, not mortal man!
Look with me at Zechariah 8:23: “Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In
those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all
languages and nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is
a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with
you.”
I want you to seriously consider this. How much time are you
wasting and destroying by trying to ‘convince’ others of the ways of Scripture?
How much effort that could be better spent on your family or charitable
causes? Whatever you say into the ear of an unbeliever (from group
2) is like speaking into a fool’s ear. They have no Biblical wisdom
whatsoever and it will not register into their mind. Don’t sow where
the wheat will be immediately choked. Do not cast your pearls before
swine. Do not waste the precious moments with words on haters of Heavenly
things. No matter what you say, no matter how good your argument,
they will not get it, because their hearts are far from Elohim. They will
twist and destroy your words for their own benefit.
We are called to be separate. We are told to ‘have no fellowship
with the unfruitful works of darkness.’ In a sense, this can be considered
shunning (or ‘avoiding’). But if it is done Biblically, and for the right
reasons, you will be blessed. [Always remember that Yashua ate with publicans
and sinners who were repentant and wanted to learn to do right. These
were not souls who wanted to harass him or debate!]
Do not join in the sins of those from group 1. You are to be there
for them, to reprove them with loving kindness with a fear for their souls
(as opposed to self-righteous nagging). But as for group 2; These must
be avoided. If you are joined with them in any way - for business, or socially,
you must seek an escape. Numbers 33:55: “But if ye will not drive
out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to
pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes,
and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.”
Those who think it is important to associate with immoral ones,
for the sake of being ‘salt and light’ remind me of Mothers who send their
children to public schools. This is disastrous and will only bring much
suffering. This is not the way of Elohim, dear ones!
Always remember this solemn warning: “And he spake unto the congregation,
saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch
nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.” Numb. 16:26
