Apocrypha & Lost Books:
Sources For Obtaining Them

A reprint of the original 1611 King James Version of the scriptures containing the Apocrypha between the Old And New Testaments can be ordered through Christian Book Distributors. All original spelling, punctuation, and grammar are retained from the original King James printed in 1611. Not to mention the fact that the Apocrypha was considered canonical scripture for centuries, we have personally read and found all these books to be scripturally accurate and sound, profitable for doctrine, for reproof, and for instruction in righteousness. To order write to Christian Book Distributors, P.O. Box 7000, Peabody, MA 01961-7000, call them at 1-800-CHRISTIAN, or visit their website at www.christianbook.com.

You may order a combination or the Lost Books Of The Bible and The Forgotten Books Of Eden From Baker Book House, 2768 East Paris, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 or look them up on the web at www.bakerbooks.com We advise you to use spiritual discretion in this area and we have found some of these books to be un-scriptural, not coinciding with canonical scripture. A partial list of those we have found thus far include The Gospel Of The Birth Of Mary, The Protevangelion, The 1st and 2nd Gospels Of The Infancy Of Yahshua HaMashiah, and the supposed epistles of Ignatious. However, we must remember that these books are by different authors. Yahshua and the 12 apostles directly quoted from the Books Of The 12 Patriarchs various times. The source of inspiration for these and others such as the Psalms of Solomon, The Odes Of Solomon, and 1st and 2nd and 3rd Hermas to name some, is most definitely from Yahweh, and we have found them to be most profitable for doctrine, for reproof, and for instruction in to righteousness of Yahweh Elohim. We suggest that this compilation of books be not totally shunned, but definitely read with caution and righteous discretion since the good has been so un-discerningly compiled with the bad.

Through Baker Book House you can also order a separate Apocrypha in the Revised Standard Version which includes 2 books that the 1611 edition does not, being III and IV Maccabees. We have found both these books to be acceptable and in agreement with the rest of canonical scripture as well.

The Book Of Jasher. The Book Of Jasher is mentioned twice in the Scriptures that most still retain today. "Is it not written in the Book of Jasher?" (Joshua 10:13) "Behold it is written in the Book of Jasher." (2 Samuel 1:18)  Although we have not ordered our hard copy of this book yet, what we have seen of it on-line looks good. It covers in much more detail than any of the other Bible books from Genesis up to shortly after Joshua's death. Jasher actually means "the upright" or "the book of record".
